Still sealed copy of the sole edition of the 1981 album on CP² Recordings with three seductive avant-garde compositions from the 1970's by the experimental Japanese composer respectively for small ensemble, for solo piano and for 25 cowbells and gong. Never re-issued on either CD or LP.

condition (record/cover): M / M (still sealed)

Jo Kondo, born in Tokyo in 1947, writes music made of single sounds placed one after another, a line that passes between instruments without harmony or development. Standing (recorded 1973) is for a small ensemble, Sound Space Ark with Aki Takahashi on piano, while in Sight Rhythmics (1976) Takahashi plays alone, the notes spaced like stones in a garden.

Under the Umbrella, for 25 cowbells and gong, was recorded in Ontario in 1980 by the Canadian percussion group Nexus, the metal sounds ringing and decaying across 23 minutes. Issued in 1981 by CP² Recordings, mastered by Bob Ludwig.
