Kuusumun Profeetta

*2025 stock* After their triumphant debut album, Kuusumun Profeetta went deeper and further into the process of creating new music and lyrics. As a result, their second album, Jatkuvasti maailmaa pelastamaan kyllästynyt supersankari ("The Superhero Tired of Constantly Saving the World"), stands as an undisputed landmark of the Finnish music scene in the early 21st century.

With this record, Kuusumun Profeetta cemented their reputation as one of the most original and fearless Finnish bands. The album expands their sonic universe, blending progressive rock, experimental pop, and poetic lyricism into a singular vision that challenges genre boundaries. Thematically, it delves into the tension between extraordinary expectations and human vulnerability, using the metaphor of a weary superhero to reflect on disillusionment, longing, and the fragile search for meaning in modern life.

Praised for its ambitious musical arrangements, inventive rhythms, and surreal yet intimately resonant storytelling, the album captures both the eccentricity and melancholy of Finnish culture in a way that feels universal. Each track moves fluidly between tenderness and intensity, affirming Kuusumun Profeetta’s ability to create music that is at once deeply personal and strikingly imaginative.
