Recorded on February 22, 1977, in New York, this rare session captures Japan’s proud bassist Takashi Mizuhashi performing alongside Herbie Hancock. Throughout the album, Mizuhashi’s deeply resonant bass tone and melodious phrasing shine, making this a quintessential “international” Japanese jazz classic.

The five pieces are Blues for Gon-San, Samba de Negrito, La Esmeralda, Reaching to the Sun and Hancock's Cantaloupe Island.
