*100 copies limited edition* Soundtracks for the edge of day. Visible Light use their instruments to open portals of seasonal consciousness through site-specific recording and real-time composition. Over the past two years, Amy McNally and Matthew Hiram have developed a collaborative practice rooted in earthly attunement, intuitive structure, and place-based sound. Their outdoor listening events have quietly established them as distinct voices in a growing conversation around nature-based music.
Using cello, flute, and electro-acoustic process, blended with analog synthesizer, quartz bowls, and sounds from the living world, Visible Light create new music for the shift between light and dark. 'Songs for Eventide' presents five compositions tracing the arc of transformation from spring's birth to winter's breath. Each piece emerges from within natural soundscapes, following pollinators in flight, patterns of leaf fall, and hidden tree languages.
The music breathes with the rhythm of transition, capturing moments as day slips into night, and one world becomes another. Cello harmonics dissolve into birdsong, as flute breath curls like fog. A gentle pulse folds into the hush of moving air, inviting inward drift along unseen currents. Mastered by Chuck Johnson at Cirrus Oxide Studio and published by Permaculture Media for the Autumn Equinox, 'Songs for Eventide' offers an open doorway into a brighter world.
