*50 copies limited edition* 1. The Habu (2020). The Habu is a pit viper endemic to the Ryukyu Islands. The violence done to these islands reverberates through. The Habu is venomous, mostly nocturnal. Spectral. From the dense vegetation it morphs into the island’s mind. The Habu is less a subject than a presence. In fragmented recordings, the work moves like the snake itself.

2. The Frog (2026). Like a frog, this work jumps and jumps. Until it just sits there and evaporates. Ribbit!

3. A Transcript (2017). This is an argument overheard at a café. I sit on the terrace, looking out over the harbour. A fisher unloads a giant yellowfin tuna from a small boat. Another fisher helps, using a rusty old crane on the dock. Two marine inspectors drive up to the quay to pose for a picture beside the animal. The argument is presented in three variations. It’s up to you to decide which side you’re on.
