A shadowy and menacing take on Post-Punk with splashes of Industrial and Avant-Garde Jazz throughout. The emphasis is on atmosphere, but rather than dousing their instruments in washed-out effects and disorienting studio hijinks, (an approach personified in Bauhaus' Mask, or Joy Division's Closer) Clock DVA imbue their darkly throbbing grooves with saxophones, flutes, and tape manipulations that clash nervously against otherwise straightforward paranoia.
