Nonzigo
Anma Ott is  excited to announce the debut LP of Spemakh, a six-piece surprisemusic-group from across Germany (Saarbrücken, Nürnberg, Berlin, Bonn). Drawing from all corners of the compositional sphere, from free-jazz to serialism and concrète,  and using a wide range of homemade and custombuilt wind and percussion instruments, as well as viola, doublebass, voice-noise, guitar, objects and miniature electronics, the band is aiming for a radical play with uncertainty, involving humour, gesture an…
Other People's Crimes
After 'Cobraxine', 'Boogie Throb', and the Ana Ott - released 'Molochville', Brecht Ameel (Razen/Ameel Brecht) gives us his new album under the Br'laaB moniker 'Other People's Crimes'; a high-on-paranoia, pre-crime-surveillance narrative, constructed after hours in the studio from a combination of Ameel's own recordings on a widely varied set of instruments, library music, flea-market broken vinyls and old cassettes. Part blind-overdub palimpsest-collage, part straightforward composition, the 10…
My Dungeon My Rules
Sisto Rossi might became the keystone of the post industrial experimental/noise scene of the Ruhr Area. Originally from Tampa, Florida he appeared in western Germany around 2001, with plenty of energetic and creative live performances under several aliases. Also involved in label and concert activities during all this years, he is one of a kind in the so called Ruhr Area ever since. His work is focused on the research for sounds from gear, which he is also building by himself, and the possibilit…
Euzebio
The new album by Robert Piotrowicz does not fit any category. What this multicoloured electronic instrumentation aims to channel is the acoustic experience and energy of the performing musician. As a result of a wide range of creative means used, the narrative language of the compositions bursts with tension and mystery. The album includes slow hypnotic passages of stone electronics (To Fleh), vigorous tempos and circular repetitions (Euzo Found Guitar), sprawling artificial soundscapes, back-to-…
A Higher State of Body and Mind
**200 copies** Lebanese saxophonist Christine Abdelnour brings an impressive, extended instrumental vocabulary to Joachim Nordwall’s cryptic electronics in this live recording made at Ystad Konstmuseum for Sweden’s Firework Edition Recordings.Falling deeply within the label’s taste for sounds that exist on the liminal edge of perception, A Higher State of Body and Mind sees Abdelnour coaxing spittle-inflected small sounds and bestial whimpers from her brass tool while Nordwall colours the negati…
Complete Uppsala Concert Vol. 1
Recorded Live in Sweden in September 1961, the Uppsala Concert is an important document from Eric Dolphy's first Swedish tour as leader of an obscure but talented local quartet featuring Rony Johansson (piano), Kurt Lindgren (bass), and Rune Carlsson (drums). Master Dolphy shines, as always, on all his instruments alto sax, bass clarinet, and flute, while the track list consists of a rare mix of standards such as Milt Jackson's Bags Groove, Monk's 52nd Street Theme, Cole Porter's What Is This Th…
Foreign Policy
Foreign Policy is a 2019 release for Malaysian experimental label LaoBan Records featuring legendary Tokyo saxophonist Hirose Junji, no-input mixing board pioneer Toshimaru Nakamura and Australian master percussionist Darren Moore. The album was recorded live at Ftarri which is the undisputed centre for improvised music in Tokyo. Recorded over two live performances in 2017, the playing represents the trio's disdain for conforming; gliding seamlessly from minimalist Onkyo to maximalist free jazz …

Echoing America
**150 copies, clear vinyl** A record that definitely lives up to its title – an obscure Italian sound library session that blends instrumental touches that evoke an America at the start of the 70s with some of the hipper, deeper currents you’d expect from the team of Stefano Torossi and Giovanni Tommaso. There’s plenty of expected sound library funk in the mix here in a way that makes for one of the most unique sound library sessions we’ve ever heard.
Flaps
**500 copies** Steve Lacy had plenty of fantastic moments on the European scene of the 70s – but this unique album may well stand as one of his best! The set's very different than any of Steve's recordings with his own group – partly because the core energy here comes from trumpeter Franz Koglmann – who sets things up in a really unusual way, by often embracing rhythm – but also setting it free in all these other erratic patterns too – which proves to be a perfect foil for Steve's soprano sax, a…
Opium For Franz
**200 copies, CD version** "This gem of a recording has been a collector's dream prize for decades. Recorded and released in the mid-1970s on flugelhorn / trumpeter Franz Koglmann's Pipe Recordings, each copy of Opium For Franz was issued with an original hand painted cover. Back in the day, we wouldn't speak of a limited issue release, even though this one probably came out in an edition of 200. Certainly it was a labor of love, with no such thing as our modern digital capture of sound and pro …
Cirkelmusik
**50 copies** Cirkelmuzik consists of two identical 12" records which contain 10 locked grooves on one side and embossed dots, with no grooves, on the other side. In each locked groove, scratches were etched by hand, creating more complex rhythms for each locked groove. To play back the dotted 'granular' side, adjust turntable weight and anti-skating. A steel needle is included so the records can be altered by the listener.
CXVI
**500 copies, clear vinyls** Akira Rabelais’ years-in-the-making new album CXVI, featuring collaborations with Harold Budd, Ben Frost, Biosphere, Kassel Jaeger and Stephan Mathieu, among others. It unfurls a quietly breathtaking, dreamlike sequence of events where early music meets a prism of shoegaze, ASMR, classical and textural sound design - huge recommemdation if you're into Felicia Atkinson, the GRM, Morton Feldman, Stephan Mathieu, Deathprod, Harold Budd...Set to be received as Rabelais' …
Maria Maria
Far Out Recordings presents the first ever vinyl release of Milton Nascimento's Maria Maria, originally released in 2003 as a double-CD package. Recorded in 1974 and unreleased until almost thirty years later, the album was written as the soundtrack to a ballet which dealt with the legacy of slavery in Brazil. Milton Nascimento possesses one of the most immediately recognizable voices in Brazilian music: high and sweet and as breathtakingly sublime as that of any soul singer. Along with journali…
Jacopo Plays Benassi
**white vinyl, includes booklet** "Jacopo Plays Benassi is a performance where the photographer plays his body with radio-controlled microphones then samples them. At the same time, he takes photographs projected on a wall in real-time. The inner need to produce sounds not knowing how to play any instrument comes from the work realized in his former club, BTOMIC, where he met underground artists from all over the world. The album that comes from this work was created in collaboration with two gr…
Pour Alto Seul
Pour Alto Seul is Johan Arrias’ first solo work. It came about as a result of a work period early 2018 and does not claim to provide a comprehensive picture of the artist, but is an exploration of more specific ideas. In eight tracks with strong musical identities Arrias explores the saxophone as a sole voice and sound source and, to some extent, his own identity. The recordings create an atmosphere of being alone among ruins; a desolate environment, a harsh but promising and exiting place full o…
The Last Minute or Later
**300 copies** "When plagued by problems deriving from people’s exiguous lucidity, tips for a resolution are warranted by a thorough immersion in unconventional sonic experiences: the necessary answers materialize prior to any question, the right moves are performed by our intuition without a word dictated. We listen to billions of hours of sounds across every range of the audible, and become capable of maneuvering the mind through their mysterious manifestations to escape from cerebral quicksan…
