Chris Corsano
Chris Corsano, born in 1975, is an American drummer active since the late 1990s at the meeting point of collective improvisation, free jazz, avant-rock and experimental music. His long duo with the saxophonist Paul Flaherty set the tone: fast, dense, joyful playing that treats the kit as a single vibrating object, with bowed cymbals, hand percussion and whatever else is to hand.
