Philip Corner, part of Fluxus from its early years, plays his own piano music written across four decades. Short pieces such as 7 Joyous Flashes, three of the Short Piano Pieces and Concerto for Housekeeper sit next to Flux & Form No. 2, heard solo and then in three versions mixed together.
Two long works take up most of the disc. Pulse: A Keyboard Dance/C Major Chord stays with the chord of its title for almost twenty-six minutes, while Perfect (On the Strings) moves inside the instrument for another twenty-two. Recorded at iiwii Studios, New Jersey, in January 1998, produced by Charlie Morrow and issued in 2001 on XI.
