condition (record/cover): NM / NM - Airs De Voyages Vers L'Intérieur / Voie on ZKP RTVL, the Slovenian state radio-television label, returns Vinko Globokar to his Yugoslav roots. The "travel airs toward the interior" promise introspective journey, but the interior in question is also geographical: return to an Eastern Europe that the composer had never truly left.
"Voie" means way, road, path. Globokar traces sonic maps of territories that are simultaneously physical and mental. The disc's provenance, that state label now vanished along with the country that housed it, adds another layer of archaeology. To play this vinyl is to excavate, to unearth a world that no longer exists except in these grooves.
