Three compositions spanning from 1967 to 1971 requiring improvisation and extended instrumental techniques, respectively for 20 musicians and a soloist, 9 brass instruments and 3 percussions, solo oboe, released in 1972.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM Gatefold sleeve with flap.  Vinko Globokar brings into the catalog the physicality of the trombonist he was before becoming a composer. Fluide / Ausstrahlungen / Atemstudie on Harmonia Mundi explores the body as sound source: breath, saliva, muscles, everything that traditional notation forgets. The "breath study" of the third piece says it already: not the note that matters, but the air producing it.

Born in France to a Slovenian family, trained with René Leibowitz and Luciano Berio, Globokar crossed borders without respecting them. His instrument became a laboratory for extended techniques, territory where the distinction between sound and noise lost meaning. This disc captures him in his most radical phase, when every piece was a physiological investigation.
