** Black vinyl with interior print, lyrics insert, and massive poster with unseen photos from the time. digital download included ** Hospital Productions has finally reissued the classic G.R. by Deathpile, the true crime album that stands as one of power electronics' most uncompromising and psychologically penetrating works. Originally initiated during the hunt for the Green River Killer and completed after the capture of Gary Ridgway, this album represents a singular achievement in the intersection of criminal psychology and extreme electronic music. This regular edition on black vinyl includes interior print, lyrics insert, and massive poster with unseen photos from the era, plus digital download. G.R. emerged from an obsessive recording and research process spanning several years, during which the artist employed criminal psychology techniques to enter the mind of the killer, delivering a timeline of the slayings, motives and fantasies with first-person ferocity. The album's approach was so methodically convincing that it crossed over into pop culture, standing alongside books, databases, documentaries and films as a sonic reference point for America's most prolific serial murder case. The perspective of the UNSUB successfully theorized the killer's psyche with uncanny and accurate predictions prior to the suspect's apprehension, displaying an almost supernatural foreshadowing that was later proven during the trial through evidence and footage of Ridgway's own confessions.

The album achieved such a level of believability that the mental toll effectively ended the band, making G.R. a confrontational cautionary tale of art imitating crime. Deathpile's devastating synthesis mastery flows through dense electronic landscapes while naked vocals depict graphic and disturbing content whose authenticity has yet to be surpassed in power electronics two decades later. The work remains unsuitable for mainstream consumption, maintaining its position as an uncompromising document of extreme psychological exploration through sound.

Originally appearing as a co-release between Hospital Productions and Force Of Nature within the first 100 releases on the label, this 20+ year anniversary edition arrives as Hospital approaches its thousandth release. The expanded layout features unseen photos from the G.R. era when DEATHPILE was Jonathan Canady and David E. Williams, providing historical context for an album that pushed the boundaries of what extreme music could accomplish as both artistic statement and psychological document. G.R. remains a testament to the dangerous territory where obsessive artistic vision meets real-world horror, creating something that transcends genre to become a genuine artifact of American cultural darkness.
