It follows the same brief, mapping the breadth of West German experimental rock and electronics across a dozen years, and the same generous curation, drawing big names and deep cuts alike from the kosmische, motorik, and early electronic strands of the music.
One reviewer called the series a hipster-friendly rebranding of West German progressive rock, which is fair enough, but the selections are sharp and the sound, on heavyweight vinyl, is excellent. The Soul Jazz pressing.
