Christian Reiner works as speaker for poetry, prose and experimental texts. He works solo and in collaboration with others on theatre projects, book readings, live concerts and music recordings. His work can be seen somewhere between language and music. He presents his texts with various collaborators at festivals, in various music ensembles and has a special programme for children. He is a classically trained singer and expert for the art of declamation. Martin Siewert plays guitar, lap & pedal steel and electronics. He is a member of experimental rock group Radian and has a duo project with Katharina Ernst named Also. Over the years he has worked with a very diverse range of musicians including Otomo Yoshihide, Tony Buck, Oren Ambarchi, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Paul Lovens, Ken Vandermark and Fennesz. Siewert both composes and improvises in both acoustic and electronic contexts. He has worked for theatre, film and dance as well as various remix and soundinstallation commissions. For this first collaboration between Reiner and Siewert the duo have recorded 11 songs with Siewert putting Reiner's words to music, using guitar and electronics. The result is something unique, rough, noisy, but at the same time poetic.
