Furinkazan* ” Wind, forest, fire and mountain “, is a suite of pieces constituting in music a travel diary in Japan. The orchestration of this trio gives it an identity between jazz trio and percussion trio. The music, composed by Ludovic Montet, alternates between very written themes and large improvisation areas. It is meant to be evocative of this fascinating island that is Japan, where a great mystical breath and a striking modernity are mixed. The three musicians of this trio have used their singular and diverse musical experience to make this album an authentic invitation to travel to the Land of the Rising Sun.

*Furinkazan ” Wind, forest, fire and mountain ” war standard used by Takeda Shingen, daimyo of the Sengoku period. Quote from “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu.
Chapter 7,13, ” let your speed be that of the wind, let your compactness be that of the forest “.
Chap.7,14 : ” Be as quick as fire and as still as a mountain “.

Le Trio Voyageur brings together three very active musicians from the Lille region.
Their experience of jazz and improvised music, but also their knowledge of other repertoires (classical, rock, contemporary, traditional) have been put to good use for this Furinkazan project.
As for le Trio Vert in which Ludovic Montet and Charles Duytschaever already play together, and with the complicity of Stefan Orins here, the commitment of each to the artistic project gives this trio a singular unity, at the service of this original musical proposal.
