2011 US re-issue on 180g vinyl on 4 Men With Beards of the 1971 double-album.

condition (records/cover): NM / EX

Gatefold sleeve.

December 1970, the Cellar Door in Washington, and Miles Davis with a band containing John McLaughlin, Keith Jarrett, Michael Henderson, Jack DeJohnette, Gary Bartz and Airto Moreira. Live-Evil takes those tapes, splices them with studio material and lets Teo Macero loose with a razor blade, so the record lurches between howling electric funk and passages of near-silence with Hermeto Pascoal humming into a microphone. Henderson's bass lines are the engine of the whole thing: he plays the same figure for ten minutes and it never stops being thrilling. Mati Klarwein's cover remains one of the great pieces of jacket art.

Reissue on 4 Men With Beards, gatefold double LP. Electric Miles at its most violent and most beautiful.
