10"x8", 64- to 72-page (depending on the issue) stapled magazine.

Issue 54 of the Toronto magazine Musicworks, with its companion CD. The disc opens with sound poetry by Paul Dutton, solo and with CCMC (Michael Snow on piano), and has two live pieces from Montréal by Joane Hétu, Danielle Palardy Roger and Zeena Parkins, plus a trio led by percussionist Michel Ratté.

The centre of the CD is Sephardic song: versions of the same ballad by Judith Cohen, then field recordings of women singers made in Tel Aviv and Thessaloniki in 1991. It closes with Peter Hatch's piece for percussionist Beverley Johnston. The magazine also covers Stan Brakhage and Gertrude Stein.
