2024 Stock. Funk Night Records presents a beautiful psychedelic-funk dance-theatre music by the great Misha Panfilov for the 2021 Tallinn premiere of Karistjan Rohioja's Original Theater Soundtrack 'Plan X'.
A unique project from the legendary Misha Panfilov, but one that is very much in keeping with the psychedelic feel of his funky 45s - as the collection here is entirely instrumental and includes tracks recorded by Misha for a live performance! However, this is hardly familiar soundtrack music, as the performance is one of a lot of movement, and Panfilov's funky touches are perfect for the setting - almost as if he's returning to territory from some of those famous Gus Giordano records from years ago - as Misha mixes his own fuzzy guitars, keyboards, and electronics with some added drums that really kick things into gear! There's also some guest flute and Wurlitzer in a few places, but the most of the work is done by Misha and the drums, becoming nice and funky amidst that spacey production that makes any of his projects so fantastic.

Crime novel or survival horror?
Dance show or silent theatre?
Criminal tango? No, no - not tango, but a funky crime story. And then there's something more... Something sinister...
"Plan X" is a story of 3 bandits who are on a mission that turns out to be a real neck-breaker. Their backgrounds are iffy, and they are cooped up in a house together. The clock is ticking. Little to no time is left to make it out there in one piece. So many futile attempts in the past, it's not the best of omens, that it's time to put Plan X in motion!
