Piotr Mełech and Wojtek Kurek have been a duo for over 7 years. They played dozens of concerts together, also in larger ensembles. They debuted with the album 'Split Here' (Antenna Non Grata), which referred to its jazz roots and free improv. Their second album 'Walk Thru' explores trance-like, motor rhythms and looped melodies of oriental provenance. Together they create a compact, forward-moving tissue with a well-established and clear structure. They draw from tradition and improvised music. Mełech's bass and soprano clarinets perfectly share the space with Kurek's short-sounding, sometimes muted, drum set. The album is characterized by minimalism and mindfulness, and the concerts are enriched by the context of the place, which allows the musicians to reinterpret the music in relation to the space.

Piotr Mełech - clarinetist, improviser-composer and visual artist. He refers to the jazz tradition of the European avant-garde, free improv and broadly understood ethnic music. Co-creator of Fanfara Avantura, Polski Piach, trio Zerang/Wójciński/Mełech, Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra. He has released over 20 albums with musicians such as Michael Zerang, Tadeusz Sudnik, Jacek Mazurkiewicz, Ksawery Wójciński. Co-founder of the Circular Breathing Festival.

Wojtek Kurek – improviser, drummer, producer, author of sound installations and music for the theater. He works in the field of folk, experimental and free improv music. He has released over 30 albums, which were released in Poland, the USA, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Scotland. He is the drummer of the Tuleje band. He is the unofficial world record holder in the 'solo tour by a Polish resident' category - 23 concerts in 25 days (Buoyancy 2020). Author of a regular program on Radio Kapitał.
