Οδός της Βόννης
Lovely release by Elisa Kühn. On one side: recording of a concert in an empty office building on Bonner Straße in Cologne. The audience stands at the windows on the first floor and looks/listens outside into a construction pit where the performance takes place.  The other side: Recorded in the same pit one week later without audience. Alarmed by the voice, the neighborhood called the police.
Walkman Jazz
Edition of 50. Each cassette is an unique piece housed in a black box. No name, no titles, no label. Only shit plastic and sound.  Sammartano strikes again! Broken the ice on his last trip “Rompighiaccio Destiny”, the man returns as the only director of a doped Banda of new mutants, freaks and borderline cases that plays at its own funeral party on a ship that sails a radioactive sea towards a new promised land (that obviously doesn't exist). Non music for no future.  Recorded at Gallleriapiù (B…

A symposium held in conjunction with the Bern exhib…
Sounds Like Silence - John Cage - 4’33” – Silence Today
* 2021 Stock. Language: English * The title of this book and the exhibition it documents—Sounds Like Silence—is ambiguous. On the one hand, silence effectively »sounds«—or as Cage put it, »There is no such thing as silence.« On the other hand, sound needs silence in order to be heard. Even if complete silence does not exist, every sound implicitly conveys the notion of silence: there is no presence without absence. The double meaning of Sounds Like Silence therefore touches upon the central issu…

In the text Rilke wrote about the phonograph, which was invented almost 140 years ago as a precursor of the record player and was the first device capable of reproducing sound. Paralleling this technical innovation, Carsten N…
