Hard-to find self-published monograph and comprehensive catalog of works by the radical German avant-garde composer. With inserts.

condition (book): NM

11"x8", 32-page stapled book plus xeroxed inserts. Text in German.

A self-published monograph and catalogue of works by Hans-Joachim Hespos (1938 to 2022), the German composer born in Emden who taught himself, lived in Ganderkesee near Bremen and published his own scores there. Issued in 1996, it lists the pieces written up to then and gives an idea of the scope of a body of work known for extreme demands on players and singers.

A 32-page stapled booklet in German with xeroxed inserts, printed by the composer himself, as were most of his scores. Since 2006 his complete output has been held by the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in Munich.
