Decimus

With Decimus 3, Decimus (Pat Murano of No-Neck Blues Band) continues his exploration of trance-inducing electronics and ritualistic sound. The album is a tapestry of analog synths, modular sequences, and atmospheric drones, evoking the shadowy worlds of Coil and the improvisational ethos of the New York underground. Murano’s work as Decimus is marked by a commitment to process and intuition, drawing on the lessons of free improvisation and the hypnotic repetition of minimalism. The result is music that feels both ancient and futuristic, a soundtrack for inner journeys and altered states.

Decimus 3 is essential for fans of Nurse With Wound, Ash Ra Tempel, and the more esoteric corners of the modern synth underground—music that rewards deep listening and open ears.
