Originally recorded in 1972 but unreleased until 1997, this definitive edition marks the first release of Black Widow – IV on the revered Italian label that bears the band’s name.

Formed in Leicester in 1969, Black Widow became infamous for their theatrical live performances and pioneering use of occult imagery, earning them the title “Godfathers of Occult Rock” and placing them alongside the likes of Black Sabbath in rock history. Black Widow – IV captures the band at a turning point, blending progressive rock, hard rock, and dark psychedelia in a mix of finished tracks and rare demos that showcase their unique musical vision and raw energy.
