Early 1990's first CD re-issue on ESP-Disk' / ZYX Music of the 1965 album featuring Milford Graves.

condition (disc/cover): VG+ (marks nor affecting play) / EX

One of the great enigmas. Giuseppi Logan made two records for ESP in 1964 and 1965, played the Newport festival, and then effectively vanished for forty years before being found, elderly and destitute, playing in a New York park. This is the first of the two, and the band is astonishing: Don Pullen at the piano before anyone knew who he was, Eddie Gomez on bass, Milford Graves on drums. Logan plays alto, bass clarinet, Pakistani oboe and flute, all of them slightly out of tune and all of them entirely deliberate. Raw, dark, and unlike anything else even in the ESP catalogue.

ESP-Disk' CD edition. One of the strangest and most affecting records of the whole New York avant-garde.
