The record have been mastered by Giuseppe Ielasi and housed in a double-face folded sleeve screenprinted by the mighty CORPOC. The vinyl version contains a download link pointing to a 46 minutes worth of music by Von Tesla, exclusively given to phisical buyers.
Comets Come Alive
Orphan Fairytale emerged mid 2000s from the Belgian underground which seems to be a consistently solid ground for fantastic music emerging. This brand new LP from Eva Van Deuren's Orphan Fairytale project follows on from her fantastic 'Ladybird Labyrinth' LP on Ultra Eczema as well as releases on Rampart, Foxglove, Release The Bats and many other great labels. 'Comets Come Alive' is a beautiful dreamy album of keyboard, layered with various unknown objects, toys and other non-instruments creatin…
Aeronaut
Buy a box of tissues! It has been a while since Miaux has released anything, as everyone around Antwerp, where she is based, still had tears in their eyes from hearing her last 7" on ue, or her self released cassettes which were hardly playable as they layed in puddles of salty tears for way too long! Miaux, the moniker of Mia Prce, was born in 1982 in Sarajevo, where she lived until she was 7 years old, both her parents were painters and visited Antwerp, Belgium with her, where they've e…
Eaten away by shadows
“It's flashback time at Shock! Everybody loves the '80s now innit, and everybody positively adores old tapes of bedroom noodling... So, always keen to exploit the latest trends, Shock has rummaged through the archives to come up with EATEN AWAY BY SHADOWS, over 79 minutes ('value' for money!) of SJ archive stuff recorded between '82 - '83, before editing Shock Xpress, playing in Whitehouse, Skullflower etc…This was recorded mostly in Bristol, some in London while living in a squat up the road fr…
Ancestors
Styles Upon Styles follow that ace BAT single with three stealthy, motorik techno mutations from Mexico City's White Visitation. 'Permanent Swing' synchs swirling machine patter and rolling square bass as a tentative opener for the tight, latinate shuffle groove and subtly ascendent chord and guitar slivers of the Moritz Von Oswald-esque 'Home', and 'Blood Revision' cruises out on a gauzy autobahn/highway tip coming off like a technoid cousin of Willie Burnett's Black Deer gear.
The New Eternal Rhythm Orchestra
Recorded live at the Donaueschingen Music Festival in Germany on October 17, 1971, this rare concert has not been available on vinyl since the seventies! This recording, while still firmly rooted in the American free jazz tradition of Ornette Coleman and Albert Ayler (with whom Don Cherry frequently recorded), brings in elements of traditional Indian, African, Chinese, Mayan and Balinese music. Of the three pieces found here, the first two are composed by Cherry and feature an internationa…
And Never Ending Nights
LP version with CD; first pressing limited to 500 copies, 180 gram pressing. Please allow us the pleasure of introducing Axel Willner's Loops Of Your Heart. Hailing from Sweden, the man behind this record alone needs no introduction, as he is already well-known in the electronic music scene for his project The Field. Loops Of Your Heart reflects Axel's experience in Germany, where during his lengthy stays, his mantra-like arpeggiators contributed to the first manifestation of the sound of …
Big Chief
Examples on record of sunny murray's enduring originality and influence as a drummer are many (refer to eremite 14, 45 & 46, among others), but very few recordings demonstrate his strikingly unusual voice as a band leader and composer. none do so more spectacularly than his 1969 album big chief. unfortunately it's been a sick collector's item since long before ebay. so it is with great pride and satisfaction that eremite returns to our friends in the human clan this long unavailable masterpiece.…
Bongo Closet
*Strictly limited vinyl-only album* Geoff Mullen is a hugely respected member of the New England experimental/improv scene, often found in the same circles as Keith Fullerton Whitman aka Hrvatski. He makes his Type debut with an utterly bewitching, secretive set of sounds which were originally heard on a cassette released by the 'Razors And Medicine' label earlier this year, containing six tracks of personal, heavy and undeniably magical drone music. He uses a modest setup of treated guita…
New Globe Notes
For the past fifty years, Mike Cooper has been constantly experimenting with live composition, field recordings and free improvisation; in the late 90s he developed a particular kind of contemporary exotica inspired by his trips in the Pacific area; the result is, in his own words, an “imaginary, exotic, ambient soundscape of places that didn't exist”.“New Globe Notes” collects material previously released on Mike Cooper's own imprint Hipshot Records, and is accompanied by a 32 paged bookl…

The Blackout
Thrill Jockey seem to be snapping up lots of underground faves, Barn Owl, Eternal Tapestry, Wooden Shjips, Sun Araw, and now Tunnels. For several years, Tunnels has been the moniker for the solo output of Nicholas Bindeman. Over time Bindeman's sound has evolved from the slow, breathing landscapes of his earlier ambient/drone releases (Colour Seance, Vexations) to completely fried-out bedroom psych explorations (Astral Collage, In Between Dreams). The Blackout delves into a world of sound un…
Cinema
Diverse musical elements - coruscating cymbal scrapes, shimmering amplifier hum, melancholy saxophone circlings, sharp hits of snare, string and reed, slow motion guitar riffs, deep tam-tam surges and floor tom rasps, hypnotic prepared piano figures, and hovering fragments of song-like melodies - fracture and coalesce in this single intense improvisation. Featuring two of the foundational figures of free improvisation alongside a younger arrival, this recording captures the first meeting …
Colorful Disturbances
'Guitars warped so hard they dissolve into pure consciousness ! Seriously, this record had to happen because these two are the NOW of transcendental guitar weirdness. In families like ours where deformed music of one kind or another pours out of the speakers all day long, Toronto's Aidan Baker is a household name. He is no doubt one of the most imaginative experimental musicians of the new generation, quickly creating a universe of limitless sound with his bursting discography. He offers …
Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light II
Recorded in the same two week session as 'AODDOL I' by Stuart
Hallerman at Avast and mastered by Mell Detmer, Earth's
'Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light II' carries on in the freely
improvised, folkloric vein of the title track from their last
release. Tape was rolled and spontaneous composition occurred.'Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light II' is striking in many ways, not least, in the wildly improvised nature of this particular
recording. Earth's songs, Sigil o…
So sorry
A meeting between Japanese sound artist Takahiro Kawaguchi and two american improvisors, Nick Hoffman (head of the Pilgrim Talk label) and Aaron Zarzutzki. Recorded by Brian Sulpizio at The Chateau, Chicago, in September 2011 and then edited and mixed by Giuseppe Ielasi in Oreno.Numbered edition of 250 copies. Black vinyl (cut at SST), screenprinted cover on heavy grey stock.
Deep Politics
Deep Politics was conceived during the lengthiest gestation period between Grails albums, and reflects a deeper, more educated level of concentration. In their ongoing exploration of occult/fringe culture and the rich history of film music, they have cultivated a unique environment that inspires both an eternal sense of longing and an indelible sense of dread. Produced by the band, as always, the most immediately noticeable advances are the lush string arrangements (courtesy of acclaimed compose…
2nd Wave
In a fair and reasonable world, Roland Haynes would have compelled more attention than he did when his jazz-funk record 2nd Wave appeared on Black Jazz in the mid-1970s. Not to say the keyboardist was totally neglected back then, but he and other plugged-in pianists of his stylistic inclination (such as label-mate Doug Carn, Hampton Hawes, Don Grolnick, Larry Willis, and Gordon Beck) existed in the deep shadow cast by jazzman-turned-jazz-funk powerhouse Herbie Hancock, whose records with the H…
Graft
Graft is an album by Japanese noise master Masami Akita aka Merzbow. This LP album is pressed on lime-green vinyl in a "bootleg"-style sleeve and sealed with a sticker. Limited to 300 regular copies. According to the Merzbow blog, the design was inspired by a '70s Jethro Tull bootleg called My God, and the recording was inspired by the plant illustrations in the Voynich manuscript. Recorded in November 2009 at Munemi House, Tokyo.
Strange Passion
Mindblowing comp of obscure, highest-calibre DIY Post-Punk and Synthwave from the archives, brilliantly compiled by Darren McCreesh and brought to you by Finders Keepers' Cache Cache sublabel - so damn good. There's been a deluge of post-punk reissues and rarity compilations in the past five years, and in turning their spades to the same ground, Finders Keepers have dug way deeper than anybody else, and come up with a cache lost classics that are both truly lost and truly classic - the quality c…
