*Limited Edition*A wonderful French performance by the Japanese duo of saxophonist Mototeru Takagi and pianist Takashi Kako recording here with the great Kent Carter on bass and cello, as well as Ron Pittner on drums and percussion! Both Takagi and Kako sound a bit different than usual maybe warmed up ever so slightly, although still as creatively modern as ever almost as if the Paris setting has uncorked some slight sentimentality in their performance one that doesn't show in any sort of hokey way, but which has these undercurrents that really make the performance special. The piano is especially great – and titles include "A Suite Of Reflections", "Sekibutsu", and "Estado".
Recorded live at Maison de Japon, Paris on April 26 1974.
Concert produced by Maison du Japon de la Cité Universitaire.
Comes in mini LP replica with OBI & Japanese insert.
