Domenico Guaccero (1927-1984) and Egisto Macchi (1928-1992) were close companions in the Roman avant-garde around Nuova Consonanza, and together they founded the journal Ordini and the Compagnia del Teatro Musicale di Roma. In 1983 they set up the Istituto della Voce, devoted to research on the voice, which remained active until Macchi's death in August 1992.
This programme was published that same year for a tribute to both composers, promoted by the Istituto della Voce with the Comune di Roma and RAI. It gathers their biographies and the texts of their vocal works, in Italian.
