Demon Fuzz

Limited Edition of 1500 Coloured Copies. Individually Numbered. 180 gram audiophile vinyls. Demon Fuzz’s Afreaka is one of the great artefacts of the cultural flowerings which occurred during the late 1960’s and early 70’s. Forming in Britain - its members gathering from across the globe, the band was an open defiance of categorisation - drawing equally on jazz, soul, funk, rock, and the music of Africa. Released in 1970 by the iconic imprint Dawn - know for their incredible outings with Mike Cooper, Heron, and Comus, Afreaka is one of the labels most stunning, singular, and sought after releases. A soulful, rhythmic, genre bending wonder which rewrites the understanding of the history of British music - a pooling of its diversity as sonic truth. An album which has never received the acknowledgment it deserves - long cited and sampled by hip hop’s pioneers, don’t let it slip through your fingers. This pressing is about to disappear.
