Oscar Rocchi began as a Milanese session pianist for Ornella Vanoni and became one of the northern library scene's most reliable composers, with a jazz pianist's harmonic sense and a taste for the Fender Rhodes. Erbe selvatiche ("Wild Herbs") is a pastoral: cues for meadows, woods, and the countryside as seen from a Lombard television studio, with a light electric jazz texture and melodies that stick.
Sonor Music Editions' reissue restores a record that was pressed in the low hundreds. For the listener who likes their library gentle.
