A promotional twelve-inch pulled from Bright Red (1994), Anderson's first Brian Eno-produced album. In Our Sleep is the duet with Lou Reed that documents the beginning of their relationship: the two had started dating during the Bright Red sessions and would marry in 2008. Reed wrote the chord skeleton, Anderson wrote the melody and most of the text, Tomandandy added keyboards and remix production.

The A-side carries three mixes of the song. The B-side gives three Eno-built instrumental atmospherics with Anderson's electric violin on top. Annie Leibovitz photography on the sleeve, "Promotion Copy, Not for Sale" stamp on the front, SRC pressing-plant etch in the runout. Never properly released outside the promo circuit, which is why mint copies appear rarely.
