La Vergine Di Norimberga is a great horror movie directed by Antonio Margheriti (aka Anthony Dawson) in 1963, starring Rossana Podestà and Georges Riviere. The great soundtrack, composed orchestrated and directed by the late Maestro Riz Ortolani, will give you the intense pathos of the movie through a series of songs that could be only described as “orchestral horror music”. Do not expect the classic Ortolani’s orchestration or “jazzy” tunes here. "This is Ortolani as you’ve never or rarely heard! One of the lesser-known 60s soundtrack moments from Riz Ortolani – one of the first Italian film composers to break out on an international scale – and a great little set that really offers up some great aspects of his talents! The film's a dark horror movie from the mid 60s, scored by Ortolani with a style that's tense, dramatic, and relatively moody – less of the brightness of his bigger hits, especially his comedies – and almost a mode that seems to set the scene for later Italian work to come. Some passages feature breakout jazzier bits, but the overall score is mostly orchestral and tightly scripted – moving with a lot of dramatic flourishes to fit the scenes in the film (Dustygroove)
