This 1981 album features works for keyboard instruments by two Japanese composers, Matsudaira Yoriaki and Fujieda Mamoru. Released on Kojima Recording's label, ALM Records, it features pianist Satomi Akemi. Matsudaira's two compositions on side A are both striking and distinctive minimalist pieces. A1 is a multi-track piece featuring three electric pianos and a clavinet, tuned one-third of a tone apart. A2 is a piano solo piece dedicated to Satomi and her husband, Seiji, and is a sound piece constructed using the couple's names, transcribed into Morse code, as textures. Fujieda's two pieces on side B are both written for prepared piano.
