1969 Japanese re-issue in mono on Sonet with different title and cover of the first album from 1963 originally titled Something Different!!!!!!. With original "SJ Seal of Approval" sticker on front.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM

The 1962 Stockholm session again, here under the Sonet banner and under the title that states the facts plainly. Albert Ayler attacks "I'll Remember April" and "Rollins' Tune" with a sound that already belongs to nobody else on the planet - wide, vocal, saturated with feeling. The Swedish rhythm section holds the ground while Ayler floats, dives and testifies above it. For anyone tracing the roots of free jazz saxophone, this is primary source material, no footnotes needed. It is also simply a joy to hear him this young, this hungry, this fearless. Japanese pressing, quiet vinyl, the way this intimate music deserves to be heard.
