Two Copenhagen jazz clubs, Musik Cafe'n and Loppen, supplied the tapes for this LP, all recorded live in 1978. The titles are plain labels for what happens: Ballad, Collage, Funk, Raga. The last two make an odd pair on side two, a funk number of two and a half minutes followed by a raga that runs for almost eighteen.

The band name means "4 or 5 Avantis", and the credits settle the question at five: Christian Kyhl on saxophones, flutes and hand drums, Dan Nedergård on trumpets, bells and voice, Stig Møller on electric guitar, Peter Friis Nielsen on electric bass and Claus Bøje on drums. They composed all of it together, and Marc Levin produced the record for Sweet Dragon.
