The sixth Gollaberration features a rather odd encounter indeed! It all happened when matchless vocalist Ghedalia Tazartes challenged GOL dada-style quartet. Ghedalia threw in the game his pan-africanasian singing techniques blending gypsy, jewish and trans-continental flavor. GOL exceeded on Electric Mandoline, Jew's Harps, Percussions, Janotron, Flutes, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Electronic Garage and Voice. Alpes brings together two of France’s most adventurous musical forces: GOL, the experimental collective known for their fearless sonic investigations, and Ghedalia Tazartes, the late, great vocal alchemist revered for his genre-defying solo works and collaborations with artists like Nurse With Wound and Brigitte Fontaine. This LP is a journey through ritual sound, with Tazartes’ unmistakable voice weaving through GOL’s dense layers of electronics, prepared instruments, and found sounds. The result is music that is both ancient and futuristic, echoing the spirit of ethnographic surrealism and the cut-up techniques of musique concrète.

Alpes stands as a testament to the power of collaboration across generations and genres, and is essential listening for fans of outsider music, experimental chanson, and the global avant-garde.
