*250 copies lmited edition* Bryan Eubanks (born in 1977) is a Berlin-based American musician who performs using soprano saxophone, electronics and computers. Gert-Jan Prins (born in 1961) is an Amsterdam-based musician whose performances make use of electronic noise and percussion. Both are well known on the international improvised music scene and carry out wide-ranging musical activities, including composition and sound installations in addition to improvisation. No-input mixing board player Toshimaru Nakamura (whose performances make use of controlled feedback) and guitarist Tetuzi Akiyama are leading Japanese improvisers who work inside and outside Japan, frequently carrying out overseas tours.

"Spring" is a collaborative album by these four musicians. Each of them separately recorded a solo performance in March 2025, and the recordings were mixed by Prins (track 1), Eubanks (2) and Nakamura (3 and 4) respectively, resulting in the four tracks on this album. Eubanks played soprano saxophone, electronics and modular synthesizer; Prins made use of electronics and percussion; Akiyama played guitar; and Nakamura used the no-input mixing board. The album sleeve features a composite of four photos of spring flowers, taken individually by the four musicians near their respective homes.
